It has taken Julian 10 years now to gain ground as the designer of the elite, whatever it means. He introduces not only perfection of design but also perfection of furniture workmanship and attention to the finest interior details. He introduces the total luxury that all people dream of but can hardly physically imagine. He introduces a special style: his projects are so distinct that they are unmistakably recognized even if his JT trademark is missing.
A lot of people have called Julian Tahov an architect, although he has had no formal education in Architecture. We should not forget that the prominent Antonio Gaudi wasn't an architect himself either. Most probably few people know that the first interior projects carried out by Julian Tahov were for the interior of the McDonald's restaurants in Bulgaria. The American fast food chain has worked with him since day one on the Bulgarian market. They said they liked that his design and style were universally applicable and simple, just as they required it for their simple and unpretentious restaurants.
How did they learn about him? It was easy. Julian Tahov had registered his first company long before the changes in 1989. The sculptor needed to make ends meet and was full of ideas how to do it: he mounded pots, built monuments, and he had a project in mind to set up his own small workshop for plaster casts and briquettes. Thus, the pots and casts business led to McDonald's offer to Julian Tahov to design the interior of the first McDonald's restaurant in Plovdiv. Julian willingly accepted the offer not only because the project was big and would  bring him popularity, but also because he had always dreamed of practically combining his knowledge and interest in the classical with something modern.
Then the column heads came into being, as well as The Shield of Achilles matched well with a more than modern interior.

Among the other Tahov's projects we can find the McDonald's restaurant in Slaveikov Square in Sofia, Hotel Maria Luiza, Hotel Trimontium in Plovdiv, the Princess Hotel and its casino in Sofia, mixclub Spartacus, the Alligator disco club, the reconstruction of the Privatization Agency, The Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, The Ministry of Transport, The Ministry of Defense, The National Sports Academy, The Madara Swimming Complex.

After the completion of the project for the Sin City entertainment complex in Sofia, Julian has been flooded with orders from Spain, Portugal, Russia, Belarus, etc. Julian Tahov has turned into one of the most preferred designers for public interiors.

Fourty-four years ago a boy was born in Sofia. He was only 9 or 10 years old when apart from his passion for drawing, he took up a strange hobby: he would sculpture small heads from big chunks of  washing soap.
“I wish to make people feel inferior to art.” Julian says now. The latest project he completed, that is the Sin City club project in Sofia, brought him the awards “The Designer of the Year” 2005 and “Man of the 21st Century” 2007. This project also succeeds in making everybody gape at the sight of the interior which has been designed and completed at the cutting edge of heavy decoration beyond which is the realm of kitsch.
