Sin City – Time Travelling

One more floor will be added to the famous club in Sofia. The project belongs to the winner of the Designer of the Year Award 2005 Award Julian Tahov. The opening of a disco club with seating for 800 people, including a piano bar and a fashionable cafeteria for fashion reviews is planned for September. In this way you could enjoy your listening to favourite music without attending a different club. Here's what the author of the project shared exclusively for the readers of Home magazine:

The interior of the first floor makes references to the past. But on the contrary – the second floor's design looks entirely into the future. Why did you make such a controversial choice regarding the style of the two clubs?
I wanted Sin City to have the same spirit everywhere but I wanted it expressed through different emotions. Otherwise its visitors would be easily bored...

It could be noticed that the colour red (so typical for your style) is a kind of a link between the two floors. Is this true and why did you choose it?

Red is aggressive but warm at the same time. This is exactly what I’m looking for in an interior. The configuration of different colours defines the specific nature of the space. The silver, black, white and red proportions helped me achieve a different dynamics and look of the atmosphere.

What was your leading concept while working on the project?

I consider every project a work of art. The work on a new project means constantly seeking for something new, it's an adventure indeed... You give birth to a new sensibility, you come into possession of the space.

You lay the emphasis on spheres in that project. What's their message?
The sphere is the perfect shape; it's also linked with the universe.

Your company usually develops the project and then carries it out technically. Will this be the case here?
Yes. We will do every element of the project.
