Julian Tahov on a Quest to Find the Future City

A splendid ceremony on 16 September 2007 opened the second international conference on “The European City: Urban Planning and Architecture, Security and Financing”

The Sofia Hall in Grand Hotel Sofia welcomed VIP guests among which there were popular social figures, mayors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and members of the business high life. Sofia's mayor Mr. Boyko Borisov was the patron of the event, organized by Mr. Valentin Lazarov, the chairman of the Nation Association of Municipal Office Workers in Bulgaria, The New Bulgarian University, and Julian Tahov Design Company.

To mark Sofia City Day, the chief architect of Sofia Mr. Petar Dikov, Julian Tahov, the popular designer and many other prominent social figures publicly delivered reports on urban planning issues underlying Sofia's development as a European capital city, and outlined the needs of the Future City. The Future City, the city of tomorrow ought to be a comfortable, beautiful and healthy place. This is reflected in the physical aspect of urban development  and most of all in interior design. The message that the speakers put across was: The ideal city is a city where there is a harmony between exterior and interior.
The organizers had prepared special surprises for the participants in the forum and Valentin Lazarov granted the guests special gratitude certificates.
